UPDATE!

August has been such an exciting month for me. I'd say August has been a major come back after July's trials. First of all, I'm officially a senior in college, I'm super excited. I most likely won't get to graduate this upcoming spring, just because I'm a dual major and I'm following two very difficult curriculums, but nevertheless, the end is in reach! School started last Monday, and I am already studying so hard. I'm taking Organic Chemistry II this semester and I've already faced some challenges. Also, I'm taking French. For you guy who don't know, I took two years of Mandarin and I've gotten pretty comfortable with the language. I won't say I'm fluid with Mandarin, but I'm aware 80% of the time. This year however, Mandarin wasn't offered and I really need to finish my language classes, so I have been talked into taking French. It's definitely different and new to me, but I have a great professor, and I've learned a lot already so I'm certain I will do well.

Aside from school, I've officially moved to Mississippi! I now have my very own apartment and it's so awesome. I moved in two weekends ago and I absolutely love my place. It's really big and in a great neighborhood. I have really awesome neighbors and I'm loving it so far. Since high school, my mom has told me that if I do good in school Freshman through Junior year, I can get an apartment my senior year. The weekend right before school started, my grandmother and I packed up the truck and moved into my apartment. I really don't like living by myself mainly because I've traumatized myself by watching abduction stories on Forensic Files.

I'm a mom now! I have my first pet that belongs to myself and myself only! She is a 10 week old Yorkshire Terrier named GiGi and she is a fiery ball of energy. I first saw her on Facebook. There was a lady looking to give away the puppies her two dog's just had. There were three puppies in all and they were all girls. I picked GiGi from the other two puppies because she was so energetic in her pictures. The other two looked very scared, and bashful, but GiGi was full of life, her ears were sticking up and she was attentive in every picture. When we got home from our vacation, (Check out July Travels), my mom and I drove three hours to where the lady lived to pick up GiGi and we have been attached to each other every since. She's adjusted well to moving, she practically owns my apartment already. She loves going outside, playing in the grass, and befriending strangers.

The most exciting event that has happened this month is that I TURNED 21! My birthday was on August 24th, and I am happy to be one year older, wiser, and better. I celebrated by going to dinner with a few friends, and going out to have some fun. I wasn't really in the birthday mood, because between getting ready for Miss Mississippi USA, school starting, moving, and medicines prepping for a surgery I have coming up, I wasn't really in the birthday party mood, but my friends took me out and made sure I had a good time. I want to say thank you to my friends and family who helped me celebrate my birthday.

That's all for this blog! If you have any blog requests, make sure to leave me a message, and let me know what you'd like for me to talk about or discuss. Thank you for reading!
